Tuesday Was

1) Yup, we broke that record. We're getting a little cooling and instability, more to come as ripples from Hurricane Emily propagate through the Southwest. But I'm rooting for 9.

2) Renee called yesterday to double-check the start time of the class she was to attend. Yup, was. She got there only to be told it was canceled. Which means I got more sleep than expected, but it was populated with clanks and airships.

Yesterday I reread Girl Genius by Phil & Kaja Foglio from front to back. Every time I do this, I find new details, new elements woven in, that I hadn't seen before. Every. Time. As a Jaded Reader, this amazes me to no end and is the true measure of the care and creativity which Profs. Foglio & Foglio have lavished on Agatha and her world. At risk of apostasy, I will report that Girl Genius has a depth that the Harry Potter books never even dream of reaching. Go buy some. Or go read it online. I'll be around here somewhere when you get back.
